About

Built around the needs of
contractors and subcontractors.

ForgeLine focuses on contractors and subcontractors. Start with one review or one policy. We intend to earn the next one, and eventually the full relationship.

What you are deciding

Nobody switches for less value.

You switch because you want a partner. Someone committed to understanding YOUR business and YOUR risk.

Value should be demonstrated, not argued.

Fit

It's not for everyone.

This is built for you if:

  • Your work is evolving and you need partners who understand where you were, where you are, and where you are going.
  • You understand your subcontractors, and your own role as somebody else's subcontractor. Certificates are part of your week.
  • Contract requirements can stop every job and may already have.
  • You want coverage conversations in a language you can act on.
  • You would rather be told no early than sold something that does not hold, or dragged through a lengthy quoting process.

This is not the right fit if:

  • Price is the deciding factor. There are agencies that compete only on price, and frankly, they are better at it.
  • You want a single annual transaction and no contact in between. That is a legitimate preference, and not what happens here.
  • You need someone to tell you a claim will be paid before it is filed. Nobody can do that, and an agency willing to imply it, is telling you something about how it operates.

The honest version

Three things before you ask.

ForgeLine Risk is new. While the track record is short, every line is verifiable. We understand it's different from twenty years of relationships. If a long incumbent history is what you need, this is not the firm that has it.

The Arizona market is hard right now. Capacity is tight at lower coverage layers, appetite moves, and construction defect exposure makes some trades harder to place than others. A better agency does not make a hard market soft. It works the market you are in and tells you where the walls are.

Carriers make decisions nobody here controls. Premium, appetite, and non-renewal are carrier decisions. Arizona's legal environment gives carriers latitude to act on conditions no agency sets. What is controlled here is the review, the market access, the documentation, and the follow-through. Those are the commitments, and they are the only ones being made.

Reducing your exposure

Start small, where being wrong won't cost you much. Let us prove our value.

Start with the review

No fee, no obligation, and the finding is yours whether or not anything changes. The only thing at risk is the time it took for the conversation.

Or start with one policy

One line, one renewal cycle, one project. Not your entire insurance portfolio. Just a simple opportunity to prove our value.

Why we exist

I'm Max Frey. I'm the entrepreneur behind this...because I believe there is a better way.

Max Frey, agent of record, reviewing a policy with a contractor on an Arizona job site.

The vision. Max Frey is an entrepreneur first. Years in this industry showed him a problem decades in the making, one most of it had stopped seeing: coverage sold by category and price, by people who never read the contract or walked the site. ForgeLine Risk was built to solve it.

The mission. A value-driven risk solution for clients committed to building and creating. Prospects who would rather build than talk about risk mitigation or insurance savings, and clients who shouldn't have to. That conversation gets carried here, so the work keeps moving.

Max Frey is the principal of Echelon Insurance Group and the agent of record for ForgeLine Risk, Echelon's industry-devoted, insurance-focused vertical. A dedicated specialist, supported by multi-carrier access.

Our Offer: Reading your policy against your work

If it turns up nothing, you will be told that. If it turns up something, you will get it in writing, with the scenario and what it costs.
